I've tried to compile an accurate and complete list of all the movements that Breitling uses and their base movements. Since Breitling purchased Kelek in 1997, which was renamed to Breitling Chronometrie in 2002, the quality of their movements have improved immensely. The Movement. Powering the Breitling Superocean 42 is the B17 self-winding mechanical moment. It is an ETA-based movement, not the B20 which is based on the Tudor MT5612. The Superocean Heritage 42, however, does use the Tudor-based B20. I have just brought a a1736402 breitling with the calibre 17 movement inside, I know this is a modified eta 2824-2 with cosc certification. Seeming that this is an eta movement, parts should be relatively common right?
