I've read some people received theirs with a chain that didn't have a LV markings on the clasps but mine does and it was just purchased last week so perhaps it's been updated. Also, while my bag itself is made in France the card holder is only marked with Louis Vuitton Paris but no made in stamp. I'm not sure if you have already taken this into consideration (as both the monogram & damier ebene is equally nice to me), but I would personally go with the damier ebene OR the world tour monogram because I don't like the fuchsia pink linings/removable pockets for the (original) monogram one!
